ABOUT US

LOUISE HENKEL

Louise’s dream to create a personalized event business began in the heart of East Sussex over 12 years ago. Her vision was simple, to give her clients delicious original food, discrete and immaculate service in order to create memorable experiences. Starting in her home kitchen, Louise wanted every client and event, whatever the size or occasion, to be given the same care and attention that would create something special. What had started as a local ‘Newick’ business, grew with clients approaching Louise from across the South of England.  Katie joined the team, a bigger kitchen was found and LK Events was born – but always remaining faithful to the founding idea.

When not hard at work in the Plumpton kitchen, Louise can be found in her cutting garden where she finds much inspiration and likes to use many of her flowers to create unique decorations for the dishes. She is actively involved in the East Sussex community from the infamous Newick bonfire society to fund raising for Chailley Heritage and Homelink a local homeless charity.

Louise is married to Simon and has three active children.

KATIE JONES

It’s not surprising to know that Katie started her career in the corporate world and now uses this experience to create a successful event. Together Katie’s listening skills, exceptional attention to detail and sense of fun are some of the key secret ingredients in creating LK Events.

Katie has a huge repertoire of dishes and a natural flair for adding her own unique twist, style and flavour to old favourites. However it’s her calm demeanour and organisational skills that ensure each team of chefs chosen specifically for your
event are able to cook the food to perfection, create the most beautiful presentation and have it ready to serve on time.

Katie is married to Mike and they have twin boys, a dog aptly named Fennel and lives in a chocolate box cottage called Strawberry Cottage. I guess you really don’t get much more foody than that!
